X-Pand VOICE COMPRESSION AND LOW LEVEL EXPANSION - Provides crisp, clear and strong audio quality in virtually any noisy environment. Low level expansion allows further improvements in audio quality by reducing noise heard during pauses in conversation.

WHISPER - Allows a user to speak quietly into a radio and still be heard clearly by other radio users.

VOICE OPERATED TRANSMIT - Allows total hands-free operation with a headset accessory when the radio is carried on a belt or shoulder strap.

SIGNALLING - The radio software encompasses CTCSS and Selcall as standard.

LONE WORKER - Using Selcall signalling, the radio enters emergency mode if the user does not respond to a warning call, adding security and safety for individuals who work remotely from their team.

EMERGENCY SIGNALLING - Sends a Selcall help signal to a pre-defined person or group within the team.

CALL FORWARD - Allows calls to be forwarded onto another radio or radios, using Selcall, if calls cannot be answered personally.

ADJUSTABLE POWER LEVELS - The radios output power has two settings: Low power extends battery life and high power allows the radio to transmit over greater distances.

TIME OUT TIMER - Limits the amount of time a user has to continuously transmit. This allows for more efficient use of the channel.
